Clubs

At The Globe Primary Academy we believe that extra-curricular activities play a very important role in the life of the pupil and the school. We therefore offer a variety of clubs for our pupils to join and enjoy before and after school. Some of the clubs are run by school staff (school run clubs) and some are fee paying and run by external agencies.  Details of the different school run and externally run clubs can be obtained from the school office or by emailing your request to office@theglobeprimary.co.uk

School Run Clubs

There are a range of different school run clubs available, some before and many after school which are free to attend.  Details of the different school run clubs can be obtained from the school office or by emailing your request to office@theglobeprimary.co.uk

Please note that clubs do not run on INSET days or days on which there are Parent Consultation Evenings.

Breakfast and After School Club runs every school day except INSET days when the school is closed to pupils.

Club Guidelines

Applying for a place at a club

If you would like to apply for a place for your child at one of the school run clubs please complete and return the attached form including ranking the clubs your child would like to do in order of priority (e.g. 1 for first choice, 2 for second choice and so on up to 3 clubs only).  Please remember to return the medical consent form together with the club choices by the deadline date shown on the application form.  You can drop their applications into the post box at the school office or send it in via your child’s class teacher.

If applications for a place at a club outnumber the places available then names will be drawn out of a hat.  Confirmation of a place at the clubs will be sent home in the afternoon, normally on the Friday before clubs start.

Attendance at clubs
We would like all children to attend clubs every week they run, if they have a place. If they are not able to attend for any reason they should let the adult running the club know, unless they are absent through illness.

Collection arrangements
Please detail on the reply slip whether your child will be collected from the school office or has permission to walk home (Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children only).  All children must be collected promptly from clubs.  If children are regularly late being collected, they may be asked to leave the club.

Behaviour at clubs
Children are expected to follow the instructions and guidance of those adults running the club at all times for their own safety.  Pupils who are regularly disruptive will be given three chances and if their behaviour still does not improve, they may be asked to leave the club for a period of time.
